Privacy notice
What happens to your PDF.
On the public page, your PDF never leaves your device. This notice explains that, and what changes when you sign in or send us your CV or portfolio.

Who is responsible
The PDF Weight Analyzer is run by Architecture Social Limited (company number 10430707), the data controller. Our registered office is Wework 1 Fore St Avenue, Barbican, London, England, EC2Y 9DT, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference ZA916095.
Stephen Drew is our Data Protection Lead. For privacy questions or requests, email privacy@architecturesocial.com.
Using the public page
When you weigh or trim a PDF without an account, the work happens in your browser. The file, its name and its contents are not sent to us.
To apply the limit of three free analyses a day, your browser keeps a count of today’s analyses. The count stays in your browser.
Signing in
The analyzer uses your Architecture Social account. Clerk handles sign-in, as described in the Architecture Social privacy notice.
In the signed-in tool, your PDFs are still analysed and trimmed in your browser. When you finish a compression, we record the file name, the original and new sizes, which part of the tool you used and when, together with your account ID, name and email address. This shows you your recent activity and helps us support and improve the tool. My files shows your most recent activity from the last 30 days. We keep these activity records for 12 months, then delete them automatically.
Sending us your CV or portfolio
If you use Send, your PDF is compressed in your browser. The original and the compressed copy are then uploaded to private storage for our recruitment team, with your name, the document type, and the file names and sizes. When upload notifications are switched on, our team also gets an email with those details.
We delete the stored files and their records automatically 30 days after upload. We use what you send to help with your job search, as described in the recruitment section of the Architecture Social privacy notice.
Who processes information for us
- Vercel hosts the analyzer, runs its server functions in London and holds the private file storage.
- Clerk provides sign-in.
- Resend sends the upload notification email, when it is switched on.
Like any website, our hosting provider processes ordinary request information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the site.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it, by emailing privacy@architecturesocial.com. The Architecture Social privacy notice explains these rights in full, how long we keep account information and how to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
